Fantastic experience: We went up to Nelson Bay with the coaches last week- 10th-14th March- I think our drivers name was Paul! It was our first time using coach and it was a great experience. Fantastic experience: EXCEPTIONAL TOURS WITH PORT STEPHENS COACHES We have just completed our second coach tour with Port Stephens Coaches. Our first one is called 'The Life Of Riley Tours', a 6-day tour of the Snowy Mountains in February 2024 with accommodation based in Jindabyne NSW. Not having visited this beautiful area very much, especially during the 'off season', we were very impressed with the organisation and itinerary for this tour and thought it good value for money. Our Coach Driver Neil was exceptional in all respects and made the experience seamless. Our second tour just completed in June 2024, is called 'Winter Warmer', a 10-day coach tour exploring the Darling Downs Region, Somerset Region, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. The tour was well organised and overall it exceeded our expectations, thanks to the comprehensive research done by the tour planners and our Coach Driver Neil. Although we had visited many of the destinations previously, the extra highlights included in the tour price brought us a great deal of additional interest. The coach was very comfortable and we did so much appreciate the extra leg room it provided. The accommodation was also very comfortable and adequate for our needs. It must be said again that our Coach Driver Neil has a most caring attitude and excellent communication at all times and is an excellent driver. For us, the Tambourine Rainforest Walk and the Australian Outback Spectacular experiences were a stand-out, although it is hard to pick just a few out of an overall abundance of special and interesting events. We highly recommend Port Stephens Coaches for an exceptional touring experience. Neville & Maureen Bartlett

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasure to deal and travel with!

Negative experience: Bad experience, bus driver kept pulling over to smoke multiple times and was rude. He insisted we put our bags under the bus and we were only allowed water and electronics on bus. No food on a 8 hour drive??? Bus had defects and had to pull over for 40+ minutes to have fixed. Driver kept hitting curbs and there was no aircon on during the ride and refused to turn it on when requested. Do not recommend

Negative experience: Not a great experience. Bus drivers kept pulling over for a smoke and many of the coaches were not in the best condition, we had to leave buses for up too 40 minutes to refuel and fix defects. Rude drivers and insisted that we put backpacks under bus, don't recommend

We drove to Perisher today in snowy conditions, Rhys was swift with the snow chains, and they did an excellent job getting us to and from Sydney safely and on time. Negative experience: We were about 2/3 's of the way past one of the buses when it pulled out and nearly wiped out my car and family then I saw the bus driver clapping his hands in the rear view mirror I then pulled over shaken by this incident the driver stopped the bus in the middle of the road beside us he then opened the door and had a go me so I let him know how I felt not very professional of him I then called Port Stephens Coaches and made a complaint the same driver passed me recently and glared guess it doesn't matter to the company

Fantastic experience: Port Stephens coaches is a wonderful family owned local company, Kylie (the lady who we booked with), Peter (the tour guide) and Mick (the driver), were so professional and informative. Our 3 day weekend to the snow was awesome. The coach was clean and modern and the accommodation at the Ski Rider was also good. I would highly recommend this company.

Negative experience: After paying for 2 bus trips for a uni event into the city the bus driver missed the rendezvous time for the 2nd trip and proceeded to ignore phone calls from both the college association and the hosting pub. Honestly look else where for reliable transport 100% do not recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: *Posting this for my mum* My mum, Jill, did a tour leaving Sunday and got back yesterday from her trip to Port Stephens. She has done nothing but rave about Justin the driver. She said he was so lovely to all the members of the tour group and took extra care to make sure they had a great trip! He was funny and courteous and extremely informative while showing them the local sites. She had the best time! Would love the thank him for looking after her and going the extra mile to make sure she had a great time! He’s an asset to the company!

Fantastic experience: For the last 9 years I have been catching the Port Stephens Coaches buses to and from Newcastle regularly. The bus drivers are always lovely, and ready to help passengers get to where they need to go. A lot of the bus drivers have strong connections with regular passengers, having discussions on the bus, knowing where to drop them off, etc. which makes it a great experience. I definitely recommend using the Port Stephens Coaches service if you get the opportunity.

This is certainly a very easy way to travel to Sydney and back. Of course the coach drivers are the front face of this company and nothing has been a problem for any passenger. Thankyou. Wish to thank Paul Fisher for helping me put it together and wish to say thanks to Peter our bus driver he did a great job and was very helpful we will be asking for Peter to drive us next year. Negative experience: We recently used PS coaches on a business trip for 13 people. We found that although the drivers and coaches were good, the after hours service was shocking and as a result spent many hours over the weekend waiting on buses that we had booked in advance. Our plans changed dramatically as another service provider cancelled our activity and when I called, the lady said she had no buses and no drivers to offer, and suggested that we use public transport (at our expense) when we had already paid for the private use of their services. After this, their office closed at 11am and we were left for the rest of the day to pay for a taxi when we should've been using the service we paid for!

Fantastic experience: I have just returned from a trip with Port Stephens Coaches to Bright and had the best time. Jeremy, the Coach Captain, and Julie the Director made it a trip to remember. Bright was beautiful and the passengers were all wonderful. The accomodation, Ovens Valley Motor Inn, was exceptional. All meals were lovely. The places we visited were worth the trip. Julie and Jeremy made the trip, and made us all feel at home. Would recommend travelling with them.

Negative experience: A trip to the Quilt show in Sydney on the 17th June , This bus company did,nt have any bus going down to the show at all to accommodate a huge amount of craft ladies a group of 6 ladies were told if we wanted a bus we would have to organise the numbers. We did get the numbers eventualy , BUT the trip was to the Sydney Venue took us from Port Stephens 4 hours to get to Sydney it took us 2 hours to get out of Newcastle. never ever will we organise another trip with this company .
